SINGAPORE: The Head of State of Sarawak, Tun Pehin Sri Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, held a meeting with Singapore’s Minister for Social and Family Development, Masagos Zulkifli Masagos Mohamad, during his official visit to the republic today.

Masagos, a longtime friend of Wan Junaidi, said the relationship between Singapore and Malaysia, particularly Sarawak, has long been established and continues to be strengthened through such exchanges.

He also congratulated Wan Junaidi on his appointment as Sarawak’s Head of State, affirming the enduring friendship and understanding between both sides.

“The cooperation between Malaysia, especially Sarawak, and Singapore has long been close and is further reinforced by our friendship,” he told Sarawak Public Communications Unit (UKAS).

During the two-hour meeting, the two leaders discussed their countries’ development, Sarawak’s energy potential and future cooperation opportunities.

Later, Wan Junaidi also presented souvenirs to Masagos as tokens of friendship and appreciation.
