BAU: A female student was injured after her leg became trapped beneath a zinc wall in the dormitory bathroom of SMK Lake on Sunday (Jul 13).
The incident occurred when the student slipped and fell, resulting in her left ankle getting stuck under the wall.
The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said firefighters from Bau station were dispatched to the scene following a distress call at 5.55 pm.
They used specialised tools to cut and pry open the zinc wall to free her leg.
She was immediately attended to by paramedics before being taken to Bau Hospital for further treatment.
The rescue operation concluded at 6.33 pm.
