KUCHING: With Chinese New Year approaching, SJK Chung Hua No 5 Kuching organised an Entrepreneur Day themed “We Care, We Love”.

The event occurred on January 9 at the school, providing an excellent platform for students to demonstrate their creativity and entrepreneurial skills.

Through various activities, students were encouraged to design innovative products, plan marketing strategies, and engage with their peers and the school community, fostering a spirit of collaboration and resourcefulness.

Beyond honing their entrepreneurial talents, the event also aimed to instil values of empathy and compassion.

Participants were inspired to show kindness and love by contributing the proceeds from their sales to the Sarawak Children’s Cancer Society (SCCS).

This initiative helped raise funds for a meaningful cause and nurtured a sense of social responsibility and the importance of giving back to the community among the students.

The Kuching South City Council (MBKS) councillor, Liew Leong Yee, attended the event.

The school management extends its heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to making this initiative a success besides special thanks to Liew for his generous support and to the dedicated teachers, parents, and students who actively participated in this meaningful endeavour.

Their collective efforts and contributions have not only made a positive impact on the event but have also shown the power of unity and generosity in supporting a noble cause.

Students actively participate in the charity sales, showcasing their creativity and entrepreneurial spirit.
