MERADONG: Students of SMK Bandar Bintangor were urged to remain courageous, creative and steadfast with success reserved for those who persevere with strong determination.
The school’s 2025 Excellence Awards ceremony today officiated by Meradong state assemblyman, Datuk Ding Kuong Hiing, recognised outstanding student achievements and highlighted the school’s commitment to nurturing well-rounded, resilient and values-driven learners.
In his address, Ding said the awards reflected not only classroom results but also perseverance, discipline and diverse talents – qualities essential for young people navigating an increasingly demanding world.
He commended the school community for cultivating academic excellence alongside leadership, co-curricular involvement, and character development.
Teachers, he noted, are mentors who guide, support and shape students beyond textbooks.
He also expressed confidence that under the leadership of its new principal, SMK Bandar Bintangor’s teaching team would continue to drive the school forward with passion and commitment.
“Parents are also the key partners in education, whose sacrifices, encouragement and prayers underpin their children’s success,” he added.
Highlighting the importance of collaboration, he stressed that a strong partnership with the Parent and Teacher Associations is vital to ensure a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Reaffirming his support for educational development in the constituency, Ding announced that 12 LCD projectors would be provided for the Form Five and Form Six halls ahead of the new school term.
He also approved a special Minor Rural Project (MRP) grant of RM5,000 to support the school’s annual activities for 2025.
