PETALING JAYA: Cahya Mata Cement Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Cahya Mata Sarawak Berhad (CMS), has partnered with Sinoma Industry Engineering (M) Sdn Bhd to undertake a technical study for a new clinker line and optimise existing facilities.

CMS group chairman General Datuk Seri Diraja Tan Sri (Dr.) Mohd Zahidi Zainuddin (R) expressed enthusiasm about the venture.

“This partnership with Sinoma Industry, a globally reputable company, will enhance our cement business. The new Clinker Line 2 will increase production capacity, reduce supply disruption risk, and improve operational efficiency,” he said.

Meanwhile Sinoma Industry managing director, Liu Tao, also commented on the collaboration.

“We’re proud to support Sarawak’s cement industry development and look forward to helping Cahya Mata realise their economic development vision for Sarawak,” said Tao.

This technical agreement, which was signed today (Nov 20), marks a significant step in Cahya Mata Cement’s commitment to Sarawak’s economic growth. It aligns with their June 27 this year, announcement of substantial investments in expanding cement capacity and establishing a new clinker line.
