SIBU: Lanang Service Centre will hold the ‘Program Sayangi Lanang: Jualan Kombo MADANI’ at 8:30 am this Saturday (July 26) at Sing Kwong (Salim) Supermarket.
The office of Lanang Member of Parliament, Alice Lau Kiong Yieng, said a total of 300 food packages will be made available, each originally priced at RM30.25.
“The initiative is one of Lau’s efforts to support the community, enabling Sibu residents to purchase essential goods at prices 10 per cent to 30 per cent lower than the market rate.
“It has been warmly welcomed by the community and is seen as a valuable step in assisting households in managing their daily expenses,” it said in a statement.
Through this initiative, the public can purchase them for only RM20, thanks to subsidies provided by the service centre.
Each package includes 1kg of packaged white sugar, cooking oil, instant noodles, rice vermicelli, a tray of eggs, and two cans of sardines.
In conjunction with the event, Sing Kwong (Salim) Supermarket will also offer special discounts on selected items such as chicken, white rice, and vegetables, allowing the public to enjoy further savings beyond the subsidised packages.
