Sultan of Pahang arrives in Sarawak for official visit

KUCHING: His Royal Highness Sultan of Pahang, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, arrived at Kuching International Airport (KIA) at around 11:45 am today for an official visit to Sarawak.

His Royal Highness arrived on a special aircraft and was received by Deputy Minister in the Sarawak Premier’s Department (Project Coordination for Regional Development, Kuching North City Hall (DBKU) and Islamic Affairs), Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Junaidi.

Tonight, Al-Sultan Abdullah is scheduled to attend a dinner reception in conjunction with His Royal Highness’ visit to Sarawak at the Sheraton Hotel.

Tomorrow (Friday, Aug. 21), Al-Sultan Abdullah is scheduled to travel to Kampung Telok Melano, Sematan, to officiate the opening of Masjid Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah.

The ceremony is scheduled to take place at 12:30 pm, corresponding to 8 Rabiulawal 1448 Hijrah.

Following the opening ceremony, His Royal Highness is scheduled to participate in a tree-planting session involving a ‘Bauhinia purpurea’ tree at the mosque grounds at around 3:50 pm.

His Royal Highness will then take a leisurely stroll along Telok Melano Beach before a photography session at the Pan Borneo Highway’s 0.0 Point.
