KUCHING: Sumitomo Corporation Malaysia Sdn Bhd (Sumitomo Corporation) plans to increase investment in Sarawak’s rapidly growing green industry.

This was informed by Sumitomo Corporation (Kuching branch) general manager of hydrogen division, Kazuyuki Miyata after paying a courtesy visit to Deputy Minister of Energy and Environmental Sustainability Datuk Dr Hazland Abang Hipni recently.

During the visit, discussions also touched on several proposals to enhance infrastructure in Sarawak, drawing on projects carried out by Sumitomo Corporation in neighbouring countries such as Indonesia, Singapore and the Philippines.

Also present were Sumitomo Corporation Asia & Oceania PTE. LTD deputy chief executive officer Hiroshi Karashima and Sumitomo Corporation managing director Satoshi Matsui.
