KUCHING: Agrofest Run at the Celebration Square, Sarawak Stadium attracted more than 500 participants yesterday.
The event, divided into 2KM (stroller dash/fun walk) and 5KM (fun run), was flagged off as early as 6.30am.
Modernisation of Agriculture, Native Land and Regional Development Assistant Minister Datuk Roland Sagah Wee Inn flagged off both runs.
Winners of the 5KM run in the men’s category were Fariz Asyraf (first), Saiful Bahtiar (second) and Abdul Iswandy (third).
In the women category, Lee Ley Mee won first place, Wendy Ng in second and Hie Pik Hie in third place.
All winners each brought home cash prizes of RM150, RM100 and RM50 respectively.
The event was organised in conjunction with the week-long second edition of the 10-day Sarawak Agrofest 2019 which is slated to end on Dec 1.
