SIMANGGANG: The newly-completed bridge across Sungai Undop is poised to transform daily life in Kampung Beleti (Rh Kedeney), Sabu by improving accessibility and mobility for residents there.

Deputy Minister of Talent Development Datuk Francis Harden Hollis, conducted an inspection to assess the quality and readiness of the bridge, which was implemented under the supervision of the Sri Aman Development Agency (SADA).

Completed on Nov 29 last year, the infrastructure forms part of the Sarawak government’s strategic efforts to upgrade basic amenities and strengthen rural connectivity in the Sri Aman Division, particularly for communities reliant on river crossings daily.

The visit was to ensure the bridge meets required standards and can be fully utilised by the local community.

During the visit, Harden, who is also Simanggang assemblyman, was briefed on the bridge’s technical specifications and the scope of works carried out throughout the construction period.

He expressed appreciation to the implementing agencies and contractor for completing the project as planned.
