KUCHING: The Kuching branch of Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) will commemorate its 66th anniversary with a two-day carnival on June 28 and 29, celebrating over six decades of service and community engagement.

The event, themed ‘66 Years of Resilience, One Journey Together’, honours the branch’s enduring dedication to unity, perseverance, and public service since its founding in 1959.

The anniversary carnival will take place at the SUPP Kuching Branch headquarters’ Ground Floor Parking Lot on Saturday (June 28) from 3 pm to 9 pm, continuing on Sunday (June 29) with a flag-raising ceremony and commemorative event at 8 am.

This year’s celebration will focus more on community, reflecting the party’s grassroots values, in contrast to last year’s banquet-style event, ‘Striving for the People, Moving Towards the Future’.

The public is invited to join the festivities to learn more about the party’s mission and history, while also supporting ongoing welfare and outreach initiatives.

Fundraising activities will be held during the carnival to support SUPP’s operations and preparations for the upcoming Sarawak election, alongside community projects in Padungan.

The anniversary marks a significant milestone for the SUPP Kuching Branch and reinforces its commitment to equality, freedom, and a better future for Sarawakians, as it continues to face future challenges together.

The branch invites all members, supporters, and residents to unite in working towards a brighter future for Sarawak.
