MIRI: Women in Morsjaya here received a special tribute in conjunction with the International Women’s Day yesterday when the Senadin Constituency Service Centre’s Mobile Service 2U team distributed flowers to mark the occasion.
Led by Cr Kueh Chie Tiong, Deputy Chairman of Sarawak United Peoples’ Party (SUPP) Senadin cum Chairman of SUPP Riam Sub-branch, the initiative was organised on behalf of SUPP Senadin Chairman, Datuk Seri Lee Kim Shin, who was away in Kuala Lumpur for official duties.
The team visited the Public Food Court in Morsjaya and surrounding coffee shops, handing out flowers to women as part of their weekly Mobile Service 2U programme.
The effort was supported by members of the SUPP Senadin branch’s main committee, the Women and Youth sections, along with councillors, Yap Siew Jin and Kapitan Jee Kee Hiong.
Kueh, who personally led the distribution, extended Lee’s warm greetings and best wishes for Women’s Day 2025.
In a further gesture of appreciation, the team shared breakfast with veteran female members of SUPP Senadin, honouring their contributions to the party and society.
