KUCHING : The Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) Stakan Branch led by its Chairman, Sim Kiang Chiok, Women chief, Pung Siok Eng, Publicity Secretary, Oliver Chai and other committee members gave carnations to the mothers working or patronising the Riyal Market in Stakan on Saturday.
The activity was carried out by the branch as part of its outreach programme to know and understand the needs of the people in the Stakan areas.
The carnations were greeted with lots of happy and smiling faces.
SUPP Stakan Branch has been on the ground in several areas in Stakan, making house visits and conducting awareness programmes for government assisted micro credit facilities to help women, hawkers and entrepreneurs.
