BINTULU: Residents of longhouses in Sungai Mas, here are urged to be prepared and not be complacent, especially during the Jepak by-election (PRK) which will be held on Nov 4.

According to Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS) Central Committee member Kennedy Chukpai Ugon, complacency should be avoided especially when facing the contest during this by-election season and full support is needed to guarantee the victory of Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) candidate Iskandar Turkee.

Kennedy, who is also the head of the PRS Operations Room, said that one of Iskandar’s strengths is his people oriented personality.

“His personality is very easy to be around and he is a people-oriented person,” he said.

He said this at the Majlis Randau Bersama Pemimpin which was also attended by PRS senior vice president Datuk Seri John Sikie Tayai at Rumah Sam Sumbang, Sungai Mas here recently.

In the meantime, Kennedy said the presence of nine community leaders in the area during the event indicated the solid support of the local people for Iskandar.
