KUCHING: Two vehicles were destroyed by fire yesterday afternoon, with the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) quickly bringing the blaze under control.
The incident was reported at 5.10 pm in front of Batu Kawa Health Clinic.
A team from the Batu Lintang fire station responded promptly and found a compact car and an SUV ablaze.
“A Perodua Axia was completely engulfed in flames and suffered total damage, while the Honda SUV sustained around 40 per cent damage.
“No casualties were reported, and the fire was successfully extinguished,” Bomba said.
Firefighters then carried out overhaul operations to ensure no hotspots remained before securing the scene and returning to the station.
