FROM January to October of this year, Sarawak Tourism Board (STB) achieved over 210 million impressions across its digital platforms, including the ground-breaking use of CHIME Reach AI.

CHIME Reach AI is an artificial intelligence (AI) driven conversational marketing tool launched at the World Travel Market (WTM) London.

Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Minister Datuk Seri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah said Sarawak is the first destination marketing organisation to adopt this tool, offering tailored, interactive chat experiences to engage potential travellers.

“In 2024, STB expanded its visibility through Out-of-Home and Digital Out-of-Home advertising, alongside collaboration with renowned media outlets such as TTG, BBC, CNN, CNA and Forbes.

“These efforts, further amplified during WTM London, garnering 533 million eyeballs, and a PR value of RM91 million from January to earlier November, significantly boosting Sarawak’s presence in target markets,” he said in his ministerial winding-up speech today.

Abdul Karim said the 27th edition of the Rainforest World Music Festival (RWMF) 2024, which took place from June 28 to 30 wrapped up on a high note with record breaking attendance of 26,026 festival goers.

“The collaborative efforts of both local and international stakeholders created a dynamic tourism landscape that resonates globally in improving the ecosystem.

“The inaugural Rainforest Youth Summit (RAYS), which took place from June 26 to 28 is a new initiative bringing together over 1,000 youth across the Asean region.

“The summit reflected the state’s commitment to youth’s empowerment, indigenous voices, and innovative advocacy, with sustainability as its core focus,” he added.
