KUCHING: The Sarawak Sepak Takraw Association (PSS) and its executive committee paid a courtesy visit to Minister of Youth, Sports and Entrepreneur Development Sarawak (MYSED) Datuk Sri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah at his office in Petra Jaya, yesterday (Jun 19).
The delegation, led by PSS president Datuk Ismail Abang Saufi, was to formally invite Abdul Karim to attend the closing ceremony of the 2025 Sarawak Cup Sepak Takraw Championship, which will be held this Sunday (Jun 22) at the Kota Samarahan Indoor Stadium.
“This courtesy visit was to extend our official invitation to Datuk Sri Abdul Karim to attend the closing ceremony on Sunday.

The championship is organised by PSS with support from the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Entrepreneur Development Sarawak (MYSED), the Sarawak Sports Corporation (SSC), and the Sarawak State Sports Council (MSNS).
A total of 10 divisions are taking part in this year’s tournament, with Samarahan playing host.
The other participating divisions are Kuching, Serian, Sri Aman, Betong, Sibu, Mukah, Bintulu, Miri, and Limbang.
Four categories are being contested: Men’s Team (3 regu), Men’s Regu, Youth Men’s Regu, and Women’s Regu, with a total prize pool of RM20,000.
