Swift action snags two in stolen bicycle case

MIRI: A stolen bicycle case came to a rapid end when two local men were arrested during a swift police operation early this morning (Dec 16).

Led by Miri police station chief ASP Goldy Jangan, officers from the Crime Prevention Branch moved to intercept the suspects in Lutong.

At around 12.25 am, the men were apprehended. Police managed to recover a stolen bicycle and seized several other items linked to them.

Both suspects are being remanded at the central police station lockup to facilitate investigations under Section 379 of the Penal Code.

In light of this, Miri police warned that criminal acts will not be tolerated and strict action will be taken against those involved.

Members of the public are urged to report suspicious activities to assist police in their efforts to combat crime in the district.
