KUCHING: Swinburne University of Technology Sarawak Campus is set to welcome prospective students and parents to its Open Day events this weekend in Bintulu and Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.
The events aim to provide a closer look into the university’s offerings, and guide students in making informed choices for their academic futures.
The Bintulu Open Day will take place on April 19 (Saturday) from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm at Promenade Hotel, while the Kota Kinabalu Open Day will be held on April 20 (Sunday) from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm at the Hyatt Regency.
“These Open Day events are designed to give students and parents a personalised experience with our academic and support teams, and to showcase the many opportunities that come with a Swinburne education,” said Swinburne Sarawak in a press statement today.
“Whether it’s learning about scholarships, exploring study pathways or understanding how our programmes align with future careers, we are here to help them make confident, informed decisions,” it said.
In addition to academic opportunities, students and parents will have access to comprehensive information on scholarships and financial aid, including university-awarded merit-based scholarships and funding from external agencies.
Yayasan Sarawak representatives will be available at the Bintulu event to share insights on initiatives like the BP40 Bursary Scheme and the English Enhancement Programme (EEP).
For those ready to begin their academic journey, on-the-spot applications will be accepted.
Eligible students may receive their Letter of Offer on the same day.
Interested applicants are advised to bring their MyKad or passport and relevant academic documents (SPM, STPM, UEC, O-Level, A-Level, etc).
Swinburne Sarawak’s foundation intake begins May 19, while the diploma and degree intake commences September 2.
