KUCHING: Swinburne University of Technology Sarawak Campus is set to host the Industry-University-Community Summit and 5th Swinburne Sarawak Postgraduate Research Conference (IUC-SSPRC 2025) from Aug 13 to 15.
The university said the event aims to inspire change and drive real-world impact through research within communities.
Held on campus, the event will bring together thought leaders, industry experts, academic researchers, and community partners under the bold theme “Beyond Boundaries –
Unleashing Research to Enable Real-World Impact”.
Throughout the three days, participants will engage in insightful discussions, thought- provoking presentations, and invaluable networking opportunities that explore the dynamic intersection of technology, innovation, and societal advancement.
One of the highlights of the summit is to serve as an essential platform for postgraduate students to showcase their research and engage in meaningful cross-disciplinary dialogue.
“This is a bold invitation to challenge conventions, break silos, and turn research into action that matters. Let’s dive into powerful conversations and cutting-edge ideas,” said conference organising chairperson Dr Elaine Yeu Yee Lee in a statement.
Swinburne Sarawak Postgraduate Research Society president Chew Yick Eu said the event serves as a great opportunity to connect with people from both industry and academia.
“I am eager to see how my work relates to real-life applications and understand
what industries are really looking for,” said Chew.
