MAKKAH, Saudi Arabia: The Pilgrims Fund (TH) board has made thorough and comprehensive preparations for the 1447H/2026M haj operations to enable Malaysian pilgrims to focus fully on their worship throughout their stay in the Holy Land.

Malaysian Consul General in Jeddah, Tengku Mohd Dzaraif Raja Abdul Kadir, said all key aspects, including accommodation, logistics, and daily necessities, are being managed in a systematic and orderly manner.

He said that with essential needs properly taken care of, pilgrims will be able to perform their religious duties without concern and fully concentrate on fulfilling the fifth pillar of Islam.

“TH, together with local service providers, is working diligently to ensure the welfare and needs of pilgrims are well safeguarded so that they can focus entirely on their worship,” he said after attending the Haj Operations Ta’aruf 2026 ceremony here today.

The ta’aruf ceremony is a collaborative programme between TH and Holiday Inn Bakkah, which has been appointed as a local operator for the first time, to help ensure smooth coordination of this year’s haj operations.

The 1447H/2026M haj operations officially began on April 18, with 31,600 Malaysian pilgrims departing in stages to Madinah and Makkah via 100 chartered flights operated by AMAL by Malaysia Airlines and Saudia Airlines. – BERNAMA
