KOTA PADAWAN: Tadika KEMAS Taman Sri Permai officially opened its doors on Thursday, with Batu Kitang state assemblyman Datuk Lo Khere Chiang officiating the ceremony, capping years of sustained investment in early childhood education and community infrastructure in the locality.
The kindergarten represents the latest phase of community development that began with the construction of a community hall using an initial RM200,000 allocation.
The project gained momentum in 2023 when RM200,000 was channelled through the Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) to build the kindergarten facility itself.
Authorities committed a further RM175,000 in 2024 to upgrade the kindergarten’s amenities, ensuring the facility met modern educational standards.
This year, the community hall is set to receive RM200,000 in improvements, including electrical installations, ceiling fans, stage equipment, awning structures and other essential fittings designed to enhance comfort and functionality for community gatherings.
The progressive development strategy reflects government priorities in expanding educational access for young children while ensuring community spaces evolve alongside residents’ requirements.
Local families stand to benefit from both the educational opportunities provided by the kindergarten and the improved communal facilities available for social and cultural activities.
The projects embody an integrated approach to community advancement, with positive impacts reaching students, educators, households and residents throughout
