KUCHING: Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Haji Abdul Taib Mahmud received three courtesy calls at Demak Jaya here yesterday.
The first courtesy call was from the Yang di-Pertuan Agong’s birthday celebration organising committee led by Welfare, Community Well Being, Women, Family and Childhood Development Minister Dato Sri Hajah Fatimah Abdullah.
The visit was to invite Taib to attend the ceremony on September 8 in Sri Aman.
Accompanying Fatimah were Community Well Being Assistant Minister Datuk Francis Harden Hollis and Youth and Sports Assistant Minister Datuk Snowdan Lawan.
Later, he received a courtesy call from Datuk Seri Lajim Ukin, followed by a visit from the state Police Commissioner Datuk Azman Yusof accompanied by his deputy Datuk Pahlawan Mohd Dzuraidi Ibrahim.
This is Azman’s first visit after being appointed on September 3 to replace Mohd Dzuraidi.
