KUCHING: Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan led a state government delegation for discussions with China’s CRE International Co. Limited to further Sarawak’s renewable energy goals.
Company chairman Zhang Yan reaffirmed CRE International’s commitment, stating that the partnership with Sarawak opens avenues to blend global expertise with local potential, fostering innovative solutions for renewable energy growth.
Awang Tengah said the collaboration underscores the state government’s dedication to advancing Sarawak’s renewable energy agenda and attracting global investments to support sustainable development.
In the visit to CRE International headquarters, the delegation was brought to the command centre where advanced controls and monitoring systems were on display for all the energy projects across 31 provinces in China showcasing the technologies deployed including practical implementation of AI into their energy systems.
Also present were International Trade, Industry and Investment Ministry adviser Datuk Seri Naroden Majais, permanent secretary Dzulkarnain Masron and Land and Survey Department director Awang Zamhari Awang Mahmod.
