SELANGAU: The SKAS 2026 launch in the Tamin constituency on Friday drew local residents, community leaders, and government agencies, with Bubur Lambuk distribution marking the start of Ramadan engagement activities.
The event at the Selangau District Office was officiated by Tamin state assemblyman, Christopher Gira Sambang, who thanked participants for their support and praised Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg for his visionary leadership.
“This launch reflects a long-term commitment to empowering communities through targeted welfare initiatives,” he said on his Facebook page.
Bubur lambuk was distributed to government agencies, Village and Community Leaders (KMKK), residents of Kampung Iban Islam Sekuau, and members of Urus Setia Saudara Kita.
“Programmes like this not only strengthen ties between leaders, agencies, and residents, but also foster unity and togetherness, especially during Ramadan,” Gira added.
The initiative also benefits local businesses, with supermarkets and retailers registered as SKAS merchants, allowing residents to purchase essential goods conveniently through the S Pay Global app.
