BINTULU: Tanjong Batu assemblyman Johnny Pang Leong Ming, handed over Rural Transformation Project (RTP) to the Kampung Assyakirin Phase 2 Village Security and Development Committee (JKKK) here on Wednesday (Apr 19).
The RTP project involves the construction of a barrier wall that separates the village multipurpose hall from the adjacent burial ground.
According to the chairman of the Neighbourhood Watch Committee (KRT) of Kampung Assyakirin Phase 2, Abu Bakar, the barrier wall was built to ensure that the higher-lying burial ground is not prominently visible from the hall.
On the same note, Pang said he would assist in the upgrading of the village multipurpose hall in stages.
“I found that the infrastructure of the hall was dilapidated and needed repair so that the residents can use the facility comfortably,” he said.
Also present was the assistant engineer of the Public Works Department (PWD) Bintulu Division, Ngu Tie Hwa.
