KUCHING: The Jawatankuasa Kemajuan dan Keselamatan Kampung (JKKK) Kampung Tapah will host the Tapah Pickleball Tournament 2026 on Jan 17 and 18 at the Tapah Multipurpose Hall here.
In a statement, JKKK Kampung Tapah said the tournament is aimed at encouraging an active lifestyle within the community, while promoting sportsmanship and strengthening social interaction among pickleball players.
The tournament is co-organised with the Sarawak Sports Psychology Association (Persatuan Psikologi Sukan Sarawak, SASPA).
According to the organisers, three categories will be contested — Men’s Doubles Open, Women’s Doubles Open and Veterans Mixed Doubles. The veterans category requires a combined age of at least 90, with a minimum age of 45 for each participant.
Each category will only proceed with a minimum of five pairs, while entries are capped at 12 pairs per category.
Registration is open to the public at RM30 per pair, with entries closing on Jan 15, 2026. Payment details and registration access are available via the QR code on the official tournament poster.
Members of the public and sports enthusiasts are encouraged to take part in and support the tournament.
