THE Supply (2023) Bill 2022 is people-centric, putting the interests of the people first, says Dr Simon Sinang Bada (GPS-Tebedu).

He noted that the initiatives included creating employment opportunities; providing loans to help longhouse folk and for housing schemes; intensifying infrastructure development; boosting the tourism sector; and so on.

“A steady increase in the budget is greatly needed and much appreciated by all Sarawakians.

“In our pursuit to develop every nook and corner of Sarawak, every person from all walks of life, every race, and every creed, the state requires a steady stream of revenue generated from tax revenue, non-tax revenue, no revenue receipts, and federal grants,” he said in support of the Supply Bill (2023) during the fifth day of the 19th Sarawak Legislative Assembly (DUN) session on Friday (Nov 25).

He commended the said bill and noted that the steady increase in the state budget was made possible because of a capable government led by Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS).
