MIRI: A 19-year-old young man was injured after the car he was driving rammed into a stationary trailer on a roadside in Bintulu early today, emergency services said.
The incident occurred at about 6:23 am along Jalan Setian-Kuala Tatau in Bintulu.
Fire and Rescue Department personnel from Tatau, assisted by a team from Bintulu, were dispatched to the scene and arrived at 6:54 am.
On arrival, firefighters found that the driver had already been removed from the vehicle by members of the public. No rescue operation was required.

The driver, identified as Hariz Hafizuddin Mahadir, sustained injuries to his chest and right knee. He was reported to be in stable condition.
He was handed over to medical personnel from the Ministry of Health and taken to hospital for further treatment.
Authorities said the incident involved a Hyundai car which struck a trailer believed to have been parked on the roadside after breaking down.
A total of 15 personnel were involved in the response, supported by a fire rescue tender, a light fire rescue tender, and a utility vehicle.
