BETONG: A 13-year-old motorcyclist sustained injuries after being involved in a collision with a Perodua Axia at Jalan Medan near here last night.
Betong District Civil Defence Force officer, Captain Siti Huzaimah Ibrahim, said the teenager suffered facial and chin injuries, as well as a fractured right wrist.
“Our team, dispatched to the scene, provided initial treatment before transporting the teenager to Betong Hospital for further medical attention,” she said in a statement today.
She added that the emergency call was received at around 9.54 pm, and it was confirmed that the teenager was not carrying any form of identification at the time of the incident.
The motorcycle involved was believed to have been damaged, while the condition of the Perodua Axia remained unknown as it had been removed from the scene by members of the public.
