SIBU: An 18-year-old man was killed in a single vehicle accident involving the motorcycle he was riding near Sibu Airport earlier this morning (May 4).

Sibu Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) chief Andy Alie said they received an emergency call regarding the incident at 8.39 am.

“Upon arrival, it was confirmed that a fatal accident had occurred. However, the victim’s body had already been taken by police to the hospital for post-mortem,” he said when contacted today (May 4).

He added that the firefighters then carried out a clean-up operation at the scene.

“After ensuring that the accident site was safe for use, the team returned to the station at 9.01 am,” he said.
