KUCHING: Tabung Ekonomi Gagasan Anak Sarawak (TEGAS) has opened applications for the TEGAS Pre-Accelerator Bootcamp (TPAB) 2025, marking the launch of its seventh cohort.

This six-day intensive programme, set to run from Aug 18-23 at the TEGAS Digital Village, is aimed at equipping early-stage Sarawakian startups with the critical skills, knowledge and mentorship needed to accelerate their growth and strengthen investment readiness.

In a strategic move this year, TEGAS has partnered with Growth Charger, a prominent startup accelerator, to deliver the bootcamp.

The collaboration is expected to inject fresh expertise and dynamic content into the programme, offering participants greater access to practical tools and real-world insights.

“Growth Charger is proud to be part of TPAB’s 7th Cohort and looks forward to working with Sarawak’s next wave of bold and brilliant founders,” said Iskandar Shafi’i, the Director and Co-founder of Growth Charger.

The bootcamp will include expert-led workshops, technical and business development sessions, one-on-one mentorship, and networking opportunities with investors, corporates and industry leaders.

Participants will benefit from hands-on modules covering design thinking, business model development, growth strategies and no-code/low-code prototyping, guided by experienced startup coaches, investors and founders from Malaysia and beyond.

The programme will culminate in a Final Demo Day, where participants will pitch their ideas to angel investors, corporate partners and ecosystem stakeholders.

The top five startups will receive post-programme support, including six months of mentoring, investor matching, and continued access to TEGAS resources.

Deputy Minister for Urban Planning, Land Administration and Environment and Chairman of TEGAS, Datuk Len Talif Salleh, said the initiative reflects TEGAS’ ongoing commitment to youth empowerment and entrepreneurship.

“The TEGAS Pre-Accelerator Bootcamp is about nurturing a generation of bold thinkers and problem-solvers who can drive meaningful change in their communities and contribute to Sarawak’s vision of becoming a thriving, inclusive digital economy by 2030,” he said.

He emphasised that providing early-stage founders with the right tools and support is key to laying the foundation for a robust innovation ecosystem, preparing Sarawak’s talent to compete on both national and global stages.

To be eligible for TPAB 2025, startups must be in the ideation or early-growth stage and have a strong problem-solution fit.

Each team must include at least one Sarawakian founder or co-founder, with a maximum of four team members per group.

Full attendance throughout the programme is mandatory.

Since its inception, TPAB has supported numerous Sarawakian startups, many of which have gone on to join national accelerator programmes and establish successful ventures.

Applications for TPAB 2025 are now open and will close on July 13 . Interested applicants may register at https://bit.ly/TPAB2025.
