MUKAH: In view of the upcoming Hari Raya Aidiladha on June 7, Tellian Assemblyman, Royston Valentine, has contributed five sacrificial cows to support religious observances and foster unity within the local community in his constituency.

The symbolic handover event took place on Friday evening at Kala Dana Mukah, gathering representatives from local mosques and the Islamic religious office.

The recipients of the donation were Setia Raja Mukah Mosque, Mukah Jamek Mosque, and the Mukah Islamic Religious Office (PAIB).

Royston said the initiative aimed to enliven the religious tradition of sacrificial worship while also easing the burden on local families during the festive season.

“I hope this small gesture brings meaningful benefit to the recipients and strengthens the bonds of friendship and unity among the Tellian community,” he said.

The distribution of sacrificial meat will begin on the first day of Hari Raya Aidiladha across the Tellian area.

Meanwhile, Mukah PAIB, in collaboration with the Saudara Kita Secretariat, will carry out a separate distribution on the third day of the celebration at its compound.

Also in attendance at the event were Mukah PAIB officer, Muhammad Adib, and committee members from the respective mosques.
