DALAT: The residents of Kampung Tanam Dalat, near here, expressed their unhappiness on the temporary bridge being built across Sungai Tutub. Located on the opposite river bank of the village, they said the said bridge is hindering them from heading to their farms in their boats.
Declined to be named, a small group of the affected boat owners had gathered at the project site over the weekend.
The peaceful demonstration of sorts was aimed at calling upon the contractor to find a better solution such as increasing the height of the temporary bridge so that it would be passable to boats.
Hence, they are looking forward to sit down and discuss their problem with the contractor and thereby, to come to a win-win solution.
