KUCHING: The main entrance road to Darul Ibadah Mosque, Batu Kawa will be temporarily closed for four weeks, from April 29 to May 27, due to upgrading works on the drainage system under Phase 1 of the Batu Kawah Infrastructure Improvement Project (Zone 6).
The closure is part of efforts by Department of Irrigation and Drainage (DID) Sarawak to enhance the drainage system at RPR Batu Kawah, which may affect road access in the area.
“Motorists are advised to exercise caution and follow traffic management instructions during the construction period.
“A traffic diversion plan is detailed in Attachment A,” according to a press release by DID yesterday.
DID Sarawak will provide updates should there be any changes to the schedule or affected areas.
Road users are also encouraged to plan their journeys accordingly to avoid inconvenience.
