LAWAS: A tenant of a wooden house at Jalan Terusan, Kampung Batu 3, here sustained minor burns injury after the house caught fire on Tuesday morning.
Nine other tenants managed to escape unharmed.
According to Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department operation centre, a team of firemen from Lawas station was deployed to the scene upon receiving a distress call on the incident at 9.12am.
The injured victim was immediately treated by its Emergency Medical Rescue Service (EMRS) at the scene.
The actual cause of the fire and loss to property are yet be determined as investigation is still on-going.
The operation ended at 10.55am.The house was however totally burned down.
