KUCHING: Unit Peneraju Agenda Bumiputera (TERAJU) has reaffirmed the federal government’s ongoing commitment to strengthening Bumiputera socio-economic development in Sarawak through closer strategic collaboration with the state government.

The commitment was emphasised during a courtesy call by TERAJU on Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg, which also served as a platform to share achievements and outline future directions for Bumiputera development programmes in the state.

TERAJU Chief Executive Officer, Junady Nawawi, said the meeting was also an opportunity to present outcomes from the recent TERAJU Aspirasi Outreach programme held two weeks ago.

“One of the highlights of the programme was the launch of the Bumiputera Sabah Sarawak Scale-Up Fund (BSSF), which provides dedicated and holistic financing support to Bumiputera business enterprises in Sarawak,” he said at a press conference after the meeting at the Satria Pertiwi Complex here today (April 29) as reported by Sarawak Public Communication Unit (UKAS).

During the session, TERAJU also shared its Bumiputera development achievements from 2012 to 2025, reflecting sustained and coordinated efforts between the federal and state governments in strengthening the Bumiputera entrepreneurial ecosystem.

The agency further expressed its commitment to enhancing strategic collaboration with the Sarawak Government as a key implementation partner, particularly in ensuring that Bumiputera empowerment initiatives continue to be advanced in an inclusive and sustainable manner.
