KUALA LUMPUR: Terengganu FC secured all three points after defeating Kelantan The Real Warriors FC 2-0 in their 2025/2026 Super League clash at the Selayang Municipal Council Stadiumon Friday night.
Terengganu threatened early in the 13th minute through striker, Gervane Jzandric Adonnis Kastaneer, but his attempt was successfully parried away by goalkeeper, Damyan Valeriy Damyanov.
The visiting team then intensified their assault through a combination play where Panshanbe Ehsoni passed to captain Raianderson Da Costa Morais before receiving it back, though the opportunity was not converted.
In the 31st minute, Kastaneer once again had a chance to score with an attempt from outside the penalty box, but his shot failed to hit the target.
Overall, the first half saw Terengganu dominate play, while Kelantan failed to produce any dangerous attempts.
Entering the second half, Terengganu continued to pile on the pressure and successfully opened the scoring in the 58th minute via Kastaneer, who tapped in from close range after receiving a short pass while unmarked.
Kelantan finally recorded a shot on target in the 80th minute through captain Muhammad Nor Azam Abdul Azih, but his long-range strike missed the mark.
Terengganu then sealed the victory by netting a second goal in injury time through a penalty kick converted by Shervoni Mabatshoev well after the 90th minute mark. – BERNAMA
