KUCHING: Sixteen-year-old Texas ‘The Savage’ Jeremy Lo made another statement on the global muaythai stage after stopping Iran’s Alireza Mohseni in their Rajadamnern World Series (RWS) showdown in Bangkok on Saturday.
The Sarawakian muaythai prodigy floored his opponent four times before forcing a referee stoppage 55 seconds into Round 2, sealing a TKO victory – his second straight RWS win by stoppage at the sport’s most iconic arena.
Speaking in his post-fight interview with RWS Muaythai, Texas admitted the moment felt almost surreal.
“From the last fight to this fight, it doesn’t feel real. It just goes so fast. I don’t know how to explain it – it feels crazy,” he said.
Asked why muaythai was his calling, the teenager kept it simple but powerful: “I like muaythai. Muaythai is the way for me. I just love the style of muaythai, and it’s like a world sport.”
Texas had earlier caught attention in August when he floored Moroccan fighter, Soufiane Asffar, with a brutal knee strike to clinch his maiden RWS victory at Rajadamnern.
Now with back-to-back stoppages on foreign soil, Texas is flying the Sarawak flag high and loud.
The anak Borneo has shown the grit, flair and fearlessness to rise in a sport where only the toughest survive.
