KUCHING: Thailand Week is set to make its much-anticipated debut here from July 31 to Aug 3, bringing the vibrant sights, sounds, flavours and innovations of the kingdom directly to Sarawak.
This indoor cultural and lifestyle showcase, the first-ever Thailand Week in the city, will take place at the centre court and second floor of the Spring Shopping Mall.
Organised by the Department of International Trade Promotion under Thailand’s Ministry of Commerce, the event will feature over 100 exhibition booths representing a total of 109 brand, making it one of the largest trade and cultural showcases ever hosted in East Malaysia.
Visitors can explore a wide variety of offerings.
The food and beverage section will feature authentic Thai snacks, spices, ready-to-eat meals, sauces, drinks and other culinary delights.
Lifestyle products on display will include Thai textiles, fashion, handicrafts, souvenirs and home décor.
Those interested in wellness can discover natural skincare, herbal remedies, spa essentials and beauty innovations.
The event will also highlight smart living solutions and emerging technologies through its dedicated innovation segment.
A series of engaging activities will take place throughout the event.
Celebrity chefs Lookchan and Ploy will conduct live cooking demonstrations featuring authentic Thai dishes.
Daily traditional music and dance performances will showcase Thailand’s vibrant cultural heritage.
DEYA will offer guided healing sessions using traditional Thai herbs. Visitors can also participate in skincare showcases led by Innotech Wealth to learn more about Thai beauty innovations.
There will be a perfume-making workshop hosted by SAN, where attendees can create their own personal fragrance and Halal Cosmetic will offer signature facial massages and scrubs using halal-certified products.
Art lovers can meet featured Thai artists and enjoy visual expressions of culture through curated displays.
Families and children can enjoy interactive games, participate in lucky draws and win prizes.
Evening promotions and entertainment under the Golden Hours theme will provide exclusive deals for night-time visitors.
The event also places emphasis on craftsmanship and sustainable living through products that reflect global lifestyle trends.
