KUCHING: It is all to play for as Kuching City FC travel to Brunei for the Malaysia FA Cup’s round-of-16 first leg, aiming to return with the advantage ahead of their home fixture.
The Cats will take on DPMM FC at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium in what is expected to be a tough away challenge.
Head coach, Aidil Sharin Sahak, is keeping his players focused on a simple but crucial target – avoid defeat and set up a decisive second leg in Kuching.
“We go with one objective – don’t lose – because we still have the home game,” Aidil told the Sarawak Tribune when contacted.

The clash against DPMM FC will require both defensive discipline and attacking sharpness, particularly in an away setting.
“We will finalise our strategy after our training session,” he added.
The return leg in Kuching will give the home fans a chance to rally behind their team, but Aidil stressed the importance of securing a positive result in Brunei to keep the club’s FA Cup dream alive.
A strong showing in the first leg could set the stage for a memorable campaign.
The match is scheduled for tomorrow (Saturday, August 16) at 8:15 pm.
