KUCHING: Three areas in Sarawak recorded Very Unhealthy Air Pollutant Index (API) readings as of noon today (Sept. 24), with Lundu recording the highest at 222.
According to the Natural Resources and Environment Board (NREB), Kanowit recorded an API of 216, followed by Serian at 211.
Meanwhile, 12 areas remained at the Unhealthy level, with Lubok Antu recording 196, followed by Tebedu at 195 and Kuching at 193.
Samarahan recorded 186, Betong 172, Belaga 171, Sri Aman 169, Bintulu 168, Sibu and Samalaju 159 each, Sarikei 157 and Mukah 129.
Kapit recorded an API of 115, while Miri, ILP Miri, Limbang, Lawas and Bario remained at the Moderate level with readings ranging from 71 to 96.
