KUCHING: A couple aged 23 and 40 and a friend aged 27 were arrested for possession of drugs in a house on Monday at about 12.10 am. All three are unemployed.
The arrest was made in a house in Batu Kawa new township and after searching the tiolet and kitchen, police found 441 grammes of syabu and 8.2 grammes of Erimin 5 in the house.
The three will be charged under section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 which carries a compulsory death sentence if convicted.
The drugs were kept in various bags and plastic bags that were all packed. There was also a weighing machine found together with the drugs too.
Police have been monitoring the trio for a few months and all three were brought for urine test. They were all tested positive.
