Three bodies receive RM250k from Unifor

DALAT: Three non-Muslim bodies here today received cheques totalling RM250,000 from the Unit for Other Religions (Unifor) of the Chief Minister’s Department to assist them in their respective activities.

Of the total, St Bernard’s Church received RM100,000, Dalat Benevolent Trust got RM50,000 while Sungai Ud Borneo Evangelical Mission (BEM) Church was given RM100,000.

Welfare, Community Wellbeing, Women, Family and Childhood Development Minister and Dalat assemblywoman, Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah handed over the cheques to the recipients at three separate locations here.

St Bernard’s Church will use the fund to upgrade its car park and fences while Dalat Benevolent Trust will  utilise the financial assistance to construct concrete drains and for sand filling at Dalat Chinese Cemetry.

For Sungai Ud BEM Church, the contribution will be used to finance the construction of its new church at the village.
