SIBU: Two cars collided near the Teachers’ Education Institute (IPG) Rajang Campus, Jalan Kanowit-Julau-Durin yesterday.
The State Fire and Rescue Department’s (Bomba) operation centre (PGO) received a report of the accident at 2.09pm and Bintangor Fire and Rescue Station immediately rushed rescuers to the scene.
According to the rescue team leader, Abu Rahman Abu Serah, the accident involved a Kelisa and Proton Saga.
Two persons in the Kelisa, a woman and a boy, were already taken out of the car by the time the rescuers arrived.
Rescuers, however, took awhile to free the male driver of the Proton Saga.
A medcial team from Sarikei Hospital was at the scene to attend to the injured.
