KUCHING: Three people sustained injuries in a road accident involving two vehicles at the Sungai Samariang Besar Bridge, Petra Jaya, in the early hours of Saturday.
The accident, reported at 4:46 am, involved two compact sedan vehicles.
Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Sarawak said two occupants in the Proton Persona sustained facial injuries, while a male driver in the Perodua Bezza suffered a leg injury.
“Firefighters from the Petra Jaya station quickly stabilised the injured individuals for initial treatment while waiting for the arrival of health authorities,” the department said in a statement.
Following the rescue, firefighters carried out flushing operations at the accident site to ensure safety before returning to the station.
