KUCHING: Three locals, including a woman, sustained injuries in a head-on collision between two vehicles near the Buntal junction, here today (Sept 7).
The victims, aged 21, 23 and 30, were rescued from the wreckage by concerned passers-by before first responders arrived.
Firefighters from Petra Jaya station were then alerted to the scene, about 16km away, following a distress call at 12.09 am.
Upon arrival, the team administered initial treatment for the victims before handing them over to paramedics for further care. The extent of their injuries has yet to be determined.
Before wrapping up at the operation at 1.29 am, firefighters conducted flushing works to clear accident debris and ensured the road was safe for other users.
