BINTULU: Two women and an eight-year-old girl sustained minor injuries after an accident involving a Perodua Viva along Jalan Tatau–Bintulu early this morning.

The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said it received an emergency call at 6.39am and dispatched a team from the Tatau fire station.

Upon arrival at 6.42am, firefighters found an adult female driver still in the vehicle and unable to exit due to weakness.

The rescue team assisted in extricating her using a stretcher before handing her over to a Ministry of Health (MoH) ambulance for further treatment at Tatau Clinic.

Two other victims — an adult woman and a young girl — were earlier transported to the clinic by members of the public before the team arrived.

All three victims were reported to have sustained minor injuries.

The operation ended at 7.39am after responders ensured the area was safe.
