BINTULU: Three individuals, including a woman, were left injured following a two-vehicle collision along Jalan Kampung Jepak here, yesterday (Jan 29).
The accident, involving a Perodua Viva and a Proton Wira, happened around 5.23 pm in front of SMK Kemena.
A spokesman for the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said firemen from Bintulu station were dispatched to the scene after receiving a distress call.
Upon arrival, they found that the Wira driver was pinned to his seat and extrication works were performed to free him.
Once freed, the 54-year-old was handed over to paramedics for on-site treatment for chest and mouth injuries before he was taken to the hospital for further treatment.
Meanwhile, the Viva driver and his passenger, who sustained minor injuries, were rescued out of their car by passers-by and both victims aged 33, were also taken to the hospital for further medical attention.
