PANTU: Three major development projects aimed at improving connectivity and public facilities in the Pantu area are set to benefit local communities here.

The three key projects include the construction of a road linking Simunjan to Kampung Tubal, Kampung Muding, Kampung Mentu and Rh Ipoh Ili/Ipoh Muding in Samarahan Division; the upgrading of Jalan Pantu-Kerangas and Jalan Engkeranji in Pantu; and the construction of the new Pantu Square in Sri Aman Division.

A briefing and site inspection session was held recently, during which the Sri Aman Public Works Department (PWD) presented updates on the projects’ current status and physical progress, with Deputy Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Minister Datuk Snowdan Lawan in attendance.

The session outlined project timelines, technical aspects and key implementation challenges.

During the session, Snowdan emphasised the need for close coordination and integrated cooperation among all implementing departments and agencies to ensure the projects are completed on schedule and in accordance with approved specifications.

He said the timely and efficient execution of the projects is vital in supporting rural development efforts, particularly in enhancing road access, public spaces and service delivery for residents.

Once completed, the projects are expected to significantly improve infrastructure, public amenities and the overall quality of life for communities in Pantu and surrounding areas.
